Waymark is a literary magazine operated and managed by undergraduate students at Kennesaw State University. This staff is proud to have dedicated undergrads coming from all different majors and backgrounds, joined together by a shared goal of amplifying creative student voices.

Gabrielle S. Punzalan (she/her) is a Filipino-American writer and editor from the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. She is currently a senior studying at Kennesaw State University as an English major with a minor in professional writing. Kiana Givens is a second-year Biology major at Kennesaw State University. Originally from Newnan, Georgia, she has a passion for color guard, crafting short stories, and diving deep into literary analysis. She loves being creative and exploring new ideas.

Sammy is a Senior going for a Major of Computer Science & Game Design and Development degree that focuses on Content Creation. Ivy is a third-year Psychology major and a recent transfer to KSU. She loves reading, fashion, watching anime, thrifting, and writing stories! She has been writing for about 10 years, mostly short stories and poetry. She is an INFJ and loves getting to know people and making friends. She is also a certified coffee and matcha addict!

Jalyn Lankford is a first-year Master of Public Administration student at Kennesaw State University. Her hobbies include writing and research, jewelry making, volunteering, and watching superhero shows and anime. With an affinity for storytelling, BIPOC and Queer visibility, cultural awareness, and lifelong learning, Jalyn writes to incite empathy and societal change, encouraging everyone to pick up the pen.

Monique is a sophomore studying Media and Entertainment. She has loved music and technology ever since she was a kid, and over time, she ended up developing a love for podcasts. Being in this position makes her really happy because she gets to hear everyone’s stories up close and turn it into a cohesive product! Aniyah Lewis

Aniyah is a Digital Animation Major in her second year of college. Naturally, they enjoy drawing, playing video games, and occasionally writing in their free time. Drawing and writing goes hand and hand, as they often write about the characters they create. Currently, she’s obsessed with the Sonic and Persona franchises. Both also serve as big inspirational for her own art and writing choices, good and learning from the bad. Their goal is to become a professional animator after college, possibly going back for a Masters in Art of Teaching.

Despite starting out as a nursing major, Des Van Holten is a senior pursuing her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Emerging Media. She enjoys the art of writing, creatively and in the context of news alike, and her hobbies consist of reading, altering clothes on her sewing machine and hopefully putting her guitar to some leisure use this seamster. Fun fact: she has a kitten named Cosmos (with a silent ‘s’) who’s five months old.

Bhagwati Narwate is an English major hoping to graduate in the summer of ’26. They are an avid reader, particularly when it comes to fantasy, and hope to someday publish a book of their own. Percy Mines is a first year literature major at KSU looking to pursue a career in editing. She is a proud sister of Tau Beta Sigma (a national band service sorority), member of the Marching Owls, and saxophone player in the University Band; her passion for music propels her deeper into her devotion to literature. Duke was a senior English major and is avid lover of romance, mystery, thrillers, and urban fantasy novels. He was the co-host of Waymark: Unbound, co-president of the Eta Pi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, and a 4th year tutor at the KSU Writing Center. In his free time, he loves to cook, baking, hike, watch tv and movies, and travel to new places.
