Letter from the Editor-in-Chief
Dearest readers,
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our Spring 2024 Issue. This has been a chaotic and wild journey as the Editor-in-Chief. I took the time to breathe life and hope into Waymark after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 virus. I could not have asked for a better advisor, Dr. Kurt Milberger, to help me through this as he has taught me so much about publishing and leading. From revamping Waymark in the Fall of 2022 to now, Spring 2024, us publishing our first issue in three years, I am so beyond proud of my work, but especially my team’s work. To all of my editors and readers, thank you for being the best and putting in all that you could.
As a senior about to graduate in a month, it is a bittersweet moment to leave behind my college experience—Waymark being the center of it. As I move forward in life, I will always have these memories and experiences, and I am so happy to finally be able to share them with you! Enjoy reading.
Warmly,
Carly Chastain
Editor-in-Chief of Waymark
