Myths and fairy tales are cornerstones of culture for any society, preserved through oral traditions or the dissemination of information from outsiders. Regardless of its delivery method, we all can think of a fairy tale or myth close to our hearts. With the rise of retellings, we now have new ways to engage with and reconsider the stories we know and love, and we also have the chance to be exposed to cultures and beliefs previously unfound to us. With this in mind, enjoy TWO recommended reading lists from the Waymark staff—one list for fairy tale retellings and another for mythology retellings.
