Traditionally called a “masthead” in the literary world, Waymark acknowledges and honors its staff through the name “parliament.” Taking inspiration from Kennesaw State’s mascot, the owl, we gather together to soar into new heights.

Duke Jenkins

Duke is a senior English major and avid lover of romance, mystery, thrillers, and urban fantasy novels. He’s the current co-host of Waymark: Unbound, co-president of the Eta Pi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, and a 4th year tutor at the KSU Writing Center. In his free time, he loves to cook, baking, hike, watch tv and movies, and travel to new places.

Brooke is a senior English major with a minor in technical communications and professional writing. In her free time, she likes to game, swim, write, read, sing, dance, and cook. She is currently writing her own fantasy series, and her dream is to be a published author! She is so excited to help Waymark grow as an undergraduate magazine and team this year!

Sophia is freshman English major from Atlanta. She adores music, playing guitar, and writing music. She also loves writing poetry and reading whenever she can. She is a big movie lover as well, going to the movie theater is one of her favorite activities. She has two very mischievous cats that she loves dearly, and she is always trying to pick up new hobbies. Recently, she’s gotten into rock climbing and crochet!

Nata Tombari is a senior history major with a double minor in French and Legal studies. She is a first-generation Nigerian-American who enjoys reading, scrolling on Pinterest, baking, and studying French in her free time. From her experience as a writing assistant at the Writing Center, she delights in students’ epiphany that they, too, have something important to say. She plans to attend law school after undergrad and become an immigration and refugee attorney.
