For many of the art pieces that I create they are inspired by a feeling or personal experience. Through my artwork, I chose to bring awareness of these struggling and emotion and just let the viewer who sees it know that they are not alone in a world full of many. We all have a story to tell whether good or bad, or through words or images. Even a drawing can help someone out there.
My art piece, Hope, was created using mixed media: paper, watercolor and acrylic paint, and a variety of tools. This piece comes from an experience that I have been through. The drowning feel of being pulled back under the water again and fighting to get out. In this art piece the light being the glimpse of hope while the darkness is closing in. And the girl finally seeing the light peeking through the dark sky and shining through the water. As if it is a sign from God himself giving her the hope she needs while fighting her struggles.
