“I Killed Andy Warhol” by Jake Schley

It was me
I caught him on a walk
And like a rabid dog
I killed Andy Warhol

Put away your spoons
No more soup for you
Why do you think I did it?
I need my soup too.

Don’t tell me that you cried
That’s just one big lie
How do I know?
The man I loved just died

Believe me when I say
Andy died today
Please don’t take the credit
I killed him and I don’t regret it

Go take his pictures
Those were my scriptures
He could’ve made 100 more
And we could’ve turned them into stickers

I just closed my eyes and shot
What scum
I didn’t even break the law
I killed Andy Warhol.
