The moon weeps for recognition,
While I held firm in my position.
Quivering breathlessly where I stand,
With a sword clutched in my hand.
Faith and morals, torn
Questioning what it is I’m fighting for.
Is this the will of God,
Or just a cruel facade?
If this is fate,
I’d kill for it to come at a later date.
My savior, sovereign, lost to darkness.
Who knew someone could be so heartless?
My savior, sovereign, lost to night.
Who knew a women could kill the light?
Waters crush on bitter shores,
Carrying whispers from before.
The current in the rising breeze;
Makes it harder for me to breathe.
Metallic roses spill from her chest,
Her rise and fall now laid to rest.
Weeping for recognition,
I give the moon full attention.
Steady now, where I stand,
With a tainted sword in hand.
Fear or truth at war,
At last, I know what I fight for.
