“I Live in Such a World” by Amber Haliday

I live in such a world

Where fear and joy break and rebuild me simultaneously,

Where healing and pain intertwine, choke, and breathe into each other harmoniously.

I think a lot of people mistake this happening with chaos or confusion

As if one should only happen without the other,

But every day,

I realize more that they come together in a flow of feelings in which we couldn’t live without.

  Feeling is motion

Feeling is energy in motion

The act of stagnating your own emotions halts your own energy

We have to breathe to feel

We have to feel to live.

Amber Haliday is a Junior attending Kennesaw State University for international affairs. Her passion for art began when she realized the endless creations that can come from a simple pen. It only expanded once she discovered literature, fashion, ceramics and every other artistic form of self- expression. Aside from this, her passions include traveling, experiencing people and culture, participating in spontaneous adventures with friends and learning more about the world around her.
